Pre-Advent Judgment Parallels

The pre-advent judgment takes place from 1844 to the close of probation as revealed in Daniel 8-9. It is a time when the citizens of Jesus' kingdom are verified before Jesus receives the kingdom and returns to earth at His Second Coming. Visit the links below for more details about each item.

Daniel 7 - A court is convened, books are examined, judgment given, and Son of man and saints receive kindom.	There is a time of judgment prior to the second coming that occurs in the court of heaven. The books of heaven (Lk. 10:20, Mal. 3:16, Is. 65:6, Ecc. 12:14, Acts 3:19-21, Lk. 12:8-9, Neh. 13:14, Ps. 69:28, Heb. 10:1-14), including the records of deeds and the book of life that lists the names of those who have accepted Jesus, are investigated by multitudes of heavenly beings. A decision is made giving Jesus dominion and the saints a share in the inheritance of the kingdom.
Daniel 8 - The sanctuary and God's people were trodden under foot, but now at the end of 2300 days the sanctuary is cleansed.	The 4th realm obscurred Jesus' ministry in the heavenly sanctuary and persecuted His people for 1260 years (538 to 1798 - Dan. 7). But, after 2300 years (457 BC to 1844 AD), truth about the sanctuary became known and widely preached. The cleansing removes the sins from the heavenly sanctuary of those who have put their faith in Jesus by blotting their sins out of the record books. This judgment facilitates atonement (reconciliation), restoring truth and removing sins that separate from God.
Daniel 11 - The sanctuary was being desolated by the abomination of desolation, but now at the end of 1290 days the desolation ends.	The power that desolates the sanctuary was established in 554 AD involving the "ships of Chittim" and "them that forsake the holy covenant" (Daniel 11). But, after 1290 years (554 to 1844 AD), the truth of the heavenly sanctuary became known and widely preached, restoring knowledge that Jesus is ministering for us in the true sanctuary and we may go directly/boldy to the throne of grace (see Hebrews 8:1-6, 4:14-16).
Daniel 12 - Those in book are delivered/shine forever.	The pre-advent judgment is followed by the giving of rewards. The books must be examined prior to deliverance, to find out who has accepted Jesus and allowed Him to change them (name is retained in book of life).
Revelation 7 - Sealing of God's servants.	God's people (those in the book of life) are tested to prove that they have cooperated with Jesus for power to obey God's law rather than man's law. Those who overcome are not blotted out of the book of life (Rev. 3:5). The process solidifies their faith so they cannot be moved.
Revelation 10 - Mystery of God is finished	The mystery of God is how divinity can combine with humanity, as in Jesus (1 Tim. 3:16) and as Christ in you (Col. 1:26-28). The mystery is explained to people everywhere to lead them to the type of obedience that accompanies true faith (Rom. 16:25-27), as the remnant church demonstrates (Rev. 14:12). Jesus' character is reproduced in His people, and heavenly beings are shown this by the church (Eph. 3:9-10, 5:25-32, Rev. 19:7-8) in the final succession of time periods (Eph. 1:9-10).
Revelation 11 - The temple is measured, but the Gentiles in the court are not.	The pre-advent judgment is only for those who have professed faith in Jesus. If a person never accepted Jesus / confessed a sin (sacrificed the innocent lamb), the responsibility of that sin was never transferred to Jesus, the sin bearer, and recorded as such in heaven (priest takes blood into the sanctuary). Thus, the person has no part in cleansing the sanctuary of sin because he or she never allowed their sins to be recorded there.
Revelation 14 - The hour of His judgment is come.	The final warning message to the world, the 3 Angels' Messages, contains the announcement that the pre-advent judgment IS taking place in heaven. The very ones who are being examined, sealed and providing a demonstration to heavenly beings, are the ones proclaiming the messages to the world.
Ezekiel 9 - A man in linen places a mark only on some of God's people.	Judgment begins with God's people ("begin at my sanctuary" - v.6). The only people who receive God's mark (seal) are those who will plainly differentiate wrong from right and clearly see the exceeding sinfulness of sin. They won't excuse wrongs or take a stand against those who would reprove sin. They faithfully deal with sins in the church ("that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst" v.4).
Matt. 25:1-13 - The bridegroom arrives and some of those waiting have no oil to light the way.	Preparation is necessary in order to be ready for the pre-advent judgment. The Holy Spirit must be fully let into the life to mold and form a character that can stand firm when the time of testing comes. The type of character needed cannot be obtained quickly or through association. It must be worked out through personal experience and firmly established as habits and healthy thought patterns.
Matt. 22:1-14 - A man arrives at a wedding without the proper attire and is thrown out.	Preparation for the judgment will result in righteous actions. In order to go in to the wedding (pre-advent judgment), a person must not only profess faith in Christ, but must also let Christ change them. This is putting on Christ's robe of righteousness. This robe is put on by allowing Christ to mold the character so His righteousness can be done in deed and thought. A person's actions reveal if their faith is genuine.
Mal. 3:1-6 - The Lord suddenly arrives at His temple and refines people like gold and silver.	When the Lord came to His temple (the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary) in 1844, it was unexpected because God's people were not looking for Him there. They thought He would return to earth. But before He can return, a work of testing and purification is needed in the lives of His people. The pre-advent judgment includes putting away sin in the life, in addition to blotting out sins in the record books.
